Another strategy we use to mitigate risk is to diversify our clients’ portfolios by investing in global companies listed on international stock markets. The U.S. encompasses only about 25% of the world’s stock market capitalization. We typically have between 30-40% of our clients portfolio in overseas assets because some of the best companies and opportunities lie outside the U.S. In fact, our largest investments are in an industry that is primarily overseas. Not only do we view international investing as diversification but potentially less risky with higher returns
