Kevin, Kristen and I wanted to drop a quick note to all of Ray’s clients as we hurtle toward the end of the first quarter of 2025. We are going to start sending a brief message a few times a year to share some information that hopefully you will find relevant.
Since this is our inaugural note, we would like to remind you that our job is to make your experience with Saleeby & Associates as pleasant and efficient as possible. We are here to help -- no matter is too small to give us a quick call or drop an email. The best way to contact any of us is the main number, 314-997-7486, or our emails, which I have included in the signature block.
Today, we have five quick things for you:
- Cutter’s sale to Prospera
- Useful IRA information on your monthly statement
- Combining your statements
- Upcoming Holiday hours – our office and US stock markets will be closed on April 18th for Good Friday.
- We are taking suggestions…
Cutter’s Sale to Prospera
Ray asked us to stress that he is not retiring and that nothing about the transaction between Cutter and Prospera affects his relationship with you. You will see very little change, perhaps the logo on the statements and we understand a new link to Access Online may be provided later this spring. You will keep your account numbers, your online userid, your assets will still be held by First Clearing (Wells Fargo Clearing Services), and we will still be your point of contact. Do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
IRA Information on your Statement
You may not realize that each IRA monthly statement has a Retirement Summary in the SNAPSHOT section. It documents the information we have on file for you: whether you have an RMD (Required Minimum Distribution for you younger clients) and how much, who we have on file for your primary beneficiaries (IF SPACE PERMITS, in a very few cases not all of them fit in the provided fields and we can confirm for you), and contributions/withdrawals year-to-date. I know many of us flip to the activity or the holdings, so we wanted to spotlight that page. We can help with other information not provided, like contingent beneficiaries or contribution/distribution instructions on file.
Combining your statements
We all love the US Postal Service, don’t we? And we all want to make their jobs just a little easier, am I right? Well, even if you disagree, were you aware that we can combine some or all of the statements being mailed to the same address into one mailing? The added benefit is that new COMBINED SNAPSHOT pages will be included which summarize the valuation and changes for ALL reported accounts, while still providing the SNAPSHOT pages for each account. If interested, contact us about completing the necessary form (we love our forms…).
Suggestions….?
We welcome feedback, questions and suggestions for future topics (yes, even suggestions such as “Please stop, you are wasting your time” will be considered.)
