Access Online Update Coming June 14th
First Clearing is significantly enhancing its online experience next weekend. This was an upgrade that has been in the works for some time and is not related to our merger with Prospera. The first time you log on (at https://prospera.fccaccessonline.com ) after June 14th, you will be prompted about the update.
You will be asked to provide your social security number or mobile phone number to ‘re-enroll’.
If you would prefer NOT to enter this information, you can call the help desk number 877-488-3748 and they can provide a temporary password to allow you to proceed without entering confidential information.
You will then be prompted to select a two factor contact phone or email and delivery method.
It is our understanding that you get to accept the online agreements yet again (sorry for that, the timing with the Prospera merger was unfortunate, to say the least).
We were told that customizations such as account nicknames and account grouping would need to be re-entered. We are sorry to say this, and hope we are misinformed, but you may want to note how you have it customized before the upgrade.
The GOOD NEWS:
- The enhanced site will allow you to rename your login id, reset your password, and will have reduced password naming restrictions due to the introduction of two factor authentication.
- There is a mobile app (via Wells Fargo Mobile), for those that are more frequently using a phone or tablet.
You can sign up for alerts on account account activity.
Using Quicken Download
We know many of you use Quicken, so you have probably already slayed this dragon, but for those of you who do not know, you can download all transactions into Quicken from Access Online. You must enroll in this free service by calling the help desk at 877-488-3748. Once enrolled, you can download account data in one of two ways:
Option 1: Web Connect download
- In Access Online, clients navigate to the “Portfolio” tab, select the accounts they’d like to download data from, and click Download.
- A file is downloaded to the client’s computer, which should automatically import into Quicken.
Option 2: Direct Connect download – The client simply selects ‘First Clearing’ as their financial institution during the process of adding accounts in Quicken.
Statement Linking Update
If you recall from our last Bullpen Notes, I said we needed to have you sign a form to merge multiple account statements into one household mailing. I have learned that we can act on your verbal instructions, so no paperwork required. Give us a call if you have any interest.
Thanks for your patience and your trust in us
We apologize that the move to Prospera was not as seamless as we had hoped and we sincerely appreciate your patience and fortitude in getting adjusted to our new team. Remember, we are here to help you, any time you have a question or run into a roadblock, give us a call at 314-997-7486. You are #1 priority (just don’t tell Ray 😉).
